 A more energy efficient alternative to vertical storing levelers is the NORDOCK® Telescoping Lip Dock Leveler. This loading dock leveler is designed to retract completely so that the insulated dock doors store against the pit floor.

This series is ideal for climate-controlled facilities such as the beverage, pharmaceutical, and food industries, or anywhere that safety of the product is a significant concern because these vertical levelers are stored behind the insulating dock doors.

The patented FLEX-LIP lip design automatically extends as the leveler deck descends and holds the lip horizontally in all positions of the platform, even in loading operations below the dock.  In addition to this patented FLEX-LIP® design, standard features also include a fully protected Single-Chamber Balanced Air Bag activation system, separate deck and lip maintenance support, a patented-pending Auto-Descent lip extension, and a patented self-cleaning open lug front hinge and header plate.

The danger of grounding forklifts and low clearance pallet trucks is reduced significantly. Excessive forklift tire wear is decreased, especially in below dock operations. Personnel injuries caused by whole body vibration are also greatly reduced which results in savings on injury claims as well as employee absences.

Easy, safe, and simple push button power

The platform rises to its highest position when the button is pressed. When the button is released, the deck to descend and the lip to extend into place automatically until the lip rests on the truck floor. While the truck is below or above the building floor height, the lip stays in the ideal horizontal position.

When the loading or unloading is finished, the platform and lip are automatically returned to the stored position by again pushing the button.

The patented FLEX-LIP® lip design is a standard feature as well as patent-pending Auto-Descent Lip extension, the patented self-cleaning open lug front hinge and header plate, easy transfer full width fixed rear hinge, and zinc plated front and rear hinge rods.

The SHF features single push button control, an integral 1 h.p. motor pump, and a heavy-duty lift cylinder with non-adjustable velocity fuse.

All temperature fluid and full operating range telescoping side guards are standard.

NORDOCK Telescoping Lip Leveler

This prevents forklift and product damage while the fully hydraulic powered deck permits accurate positioning onto the trailer bed. Other standard features include reducing employee risk by the unit storing the dock leveler horizontally rather than vertically as well as faster operation than a vertical leveler, one-step push button control, and no expensive stanchions, bollards, and conduits.

Simple push button operation, mechanical safety latch locks that lock the deck in the stored position, an exclusive lip lug and header plate, power up and power down functions, and emergency stop and full lip control functions are some of the other standard features.

NORDOCK’s Vertical Levelers are ideal climate controlled facilities in the beverage, pharmaceutical, and food industries or where safety is a major concern because they are stored behind the insulating dock doors. The COLDSTORAGE Series is available 20,000 to 50,000 lbs. capacities.

Simple push button operation

 The operator lowers and raises the leveler with continuous pressure on the push button once the mechanical safety latch has been released. At any time the lip and be retracted or extended. Continuous contact is maintained since the lip and leveler will float automatically with the movement of the truck bed. The NORDOCK COLDSTORAGE Series Levelers’ service range is 6” above and below floor level. The standard 16” long lip extends 11” beyond a 4” bumper.
